I live in Colorado and we have winter storms without the power going out. There are many ways to do this even without burying the lines.

People who think this means anything don't know anything about the actual economy that they live in. Jobless claims don't mean anything in America because most people who lose their jobs don't get unemployment and we don't count all unemployed people in our unemployment statistics.
It's kind of meaningless when the largest portion of these populations aren't counted in the statistics.

Or instead of forcing a recession which harms average people we could in fact just get higher wages.

It's not a slow recovery it's a slow recession. It's almost like you don't understand the analogy.

No. You just are completely ignorant of the actual problem and why we need to do this.

I don't think you a fundamentally understand the problem literally at all. These cases are often not investigated at all. It has nothing to do with lack of resources or the attention span of your average American.

Indigenous people actually have the worst rate. It's not just favoring them. It's an appropriate response to an issue that's literally affecting their community the most.

When the thing is very political itself then yeah of course it is. Do you think infrastructure is not political? Do you think the vast amount of homeless we have isn't political?

Yeah probably because they're homeless and don't have a home to go to which is a systematic failure of us.

Or your homeless. But then again just proves our infrastructure doesn't work not systematically. We have so many homeless people because we don't help people stay at homes.

They were probably homeless people who lived in their cars... I assume most deaths from being inside your car are actually not you being stranded but homeless people.

I don't know man all their social media basically them being hateful to everyone in that area... And it wasn't like they weren't hateful to them before the war I mean I've seen videos of them literally going to Ukrainian streamers and harassing them. I'm not so sure that the narrative works.

That doesn't make it okay. That doesn't mean we don't need mitigation efforts. It doesn't mean we don't need to track it. We track the flu even though it is also endemic. How is any of that relevant? We already know that repeat exposure to COVID damages the immune system.

It's called credit. The vast majority of Americans are over leveraged.
And 48% of Americans that make 100K or more are still living paycheck to paycheck
It's almost like we're living in a house of cards and at some point it's all going to come crashing down...

Of course it has but changes in it can still happen. This idea that viruses are unchanging I don't understand as we clearly know they're not. So being around forever doesn't mean anything. The common cold has been around forever too and COVID still happened.

Where I live we have trees everywhere lol. We have trees that come down every winter storm too. So we have the same issues. I have not had a single outrage here and I have lived here for 2 years even when one of our trees did fall down. I lived in WA before that where we also had trees that came down and still didn't have an outage there for decades. Both of these places have windstorms and we still don't deal with power outages frequently. There is something else wrong with their power grid or staffing, it's not just trees and lines.
