I'm torn on weather I'd leave or not. I just got here, I kinda love this city. I think I would rather stay and help shelter my fellow LGBTQ+ peers, and be someone that promotes turning the tied against the absolute darkness of truly terrifying ideas like the ones Mastriano pushes.

I get what you mean though. Oz would just be par for the course - an idiot grifter grifted idiots to no ones surprise. Mastriano WOULD cement the idea that there is NOTHING worth discussing with republicans, and we should expect to treat them as such.

I hope Fetterman wins. I really don't want to know that so many people around me are willing to be represented by a quack doctor who is probably going to vote to remove rights from people.

But I have met people, and I know that most people don't have any idea what politics actually is. They will be voting for the nice man they saw on Oprah, and that's all the further they can think.

We'll see on Wed. But in 2016 I learned to never underestimate the failings of democracy.

I didn't imply that at all. I said they are willing to support a national candidate who DOES hold those views, and I don't like them for it.

You seem to have a really hard time with this. I suggest taking a government class at your local community college so you can learn about how the federal government works. Then pay attention to what the stated goals of the parties are, and what kind of trends there are.

I know you will never listen to me. But you should at *least* do some basic research so you don't look like such a dumbass.

I didn't say they couldn't exist. I said if your opposing view is that people should suffer, your a dickbag and I don't like you.

You're free to think that the PT Cruiser is a great car. That's an opposing viewpoint to my own, but I would not think less of anyone that likes them.

You're free to think cats are better than dogs. That's an opposing viewpoint to my own, but I would not think less of anyone who thinks cats are superior.

You're free to think that gay marriage should be illegal and that there should be grown adults who check children's private parts to make sure they use the right bathroom. Those are both very much opposed to my viewpoints - and if you hold those viewpoints (or tacitly support those views by voting for Republicans) then I don't like you.

That shouldn't offend you. You don't want me to have rights - you don't like me. You should be happy that I don't like you, right?

I do not like people that vote for Oz. They are voting for a national official who will work to overturn the rights of my peers and continue to use fear and paranoia as the rhetoric of choice. Supporting that makes me not like them.

I will not be accepting any stupid as shit comments like "Both Sides are the SAME" or "Not all Republicans actually hate Gay People (despite the fact that they are more than happy to vote for the party that wants to restrict the rights of gay people)!"

Schools shouldn't remove the bible. They should teach children to think critically, analyze information, and be introspective. Schools should not dictate what information is avaliable for people who seek it.

And this literally isn't "telling an institution not to do a thing" it's the exact opposite. It's telling them WHAT to do, and that what is "remove access to these books that make us uncomfortable because we are shit parents that can't have conversations with our children."

Seriously, your acting like a child who has the intellectual curiosity of dirt and a 3rd grade reading ability is going to just stumble upon a book about sex and gender. Have you met kids? Have any of these parents actually talked to their children?

If a child has the reading ability to read these books your describing (that don’t exist, btw. This whole paranoia is made up) then they have the cognitive ability to be talking to their friends about sex.

Seriously, are these parents just so bad at their jobs they are praying to the government to save them? I thought they wanted smaller government, not a fucking nanny state
