Cloudy sky in the pacific north west every f’ing time this happens. I’m glad I’ve seen my share of northern light shows when I was young but it’s been 20 years since I’ve seen them.

Not to compare to nuclear submarine standards, but you’d be surprised to learn how much architecture and machinery in society is held together by glue.

If you’re a nobody and want to be remembered (200 years from now?) your digital life better have a pretty long life.
Ultra long term storage isn’t a consideration in the digital age. I have thoughts and ideas on it, with the goal of 1000 years data retrieval.

Absolutely. The North African invasion in 1150 and the Northern Isles counter-invasion in 1180 of what’s now southern Norway really turned the tide of the Viking expansion and changed the narrative.

I moved out on my own in a new city and didn’t know anyone.
You have to find ways to be comfortable in your own space while spending a real amount of time alone while it takes time making connections.
I played guitar and learned how to juggle. I can still do both many years later.
The best thing is that you can just break out juggling in front of friends/partners years later and they never knew you could do that.

Learn to juggle 3 balls. I did that when I first lived on my own. If you already know how, then make your bed everyday and don’t let dishes pile up.

Whatever this tech entails, it needs to be integrated into existing facilities. There’s no land available for a new facility in the lower mainland in BC. A new proposed environmental plant was just recently denied because the only land was a nature preserve.
