Reply to I need shoulder surgery (Bankart labrum tear repair). Has anyone else in the sub had/talked to someone who's had this procedure done in Baltimore/the wider DMV area? Looking for recommendations for orthopedic surgeons who specialize in shoulders. by cheesewitche
Regardless of who you go with:
- Your surgeon will not know the extent of your injury until he/she is in there with a scope. Imaging gives an idea, but the reality is often different.
- Get an interscalene block before surgery for post-op pain control. Shoulder surgery pain is intense and difficult to control.
