This. If you want more rural, only Rehoboth and western Seekonk north of Route 44 would meet your requirements for Massachusetts. But, Rehoboth is growing quickly, lots of houses being built there.

Welcome to Lifespan. I work there. One app you should download is "Ride Systems", which tracks the Lifespan shuttle buses to and from the hospitals to various parking lots, etc. You might be able to take a RIPTA bus to a location along Allens Ave, then jump on the next Lifespan shuttle to and from work. If you get a place in downtown Providence, it's an easy walk over to the Coro building and take a shuttle from there to work. In bad weather you can walk the "tunnel" that stretches from Hasbro Childrens Hospital all the way to Women and Infants, it's a 5 minute walk underground one way. There are off shoots in that tunnel to other buildings, so don't get lost like I did my first week on the job! gif

I did 2 gut renovations in 2020 and 2021 and both cost around 11k. But here’s the key- purchase all the materials yourself. In essence, be your own contractor. I used Ardente for my tub and toilet, build.com for the fixtures, kitchen countertop in Pawtucket for the vanity countertop and sink. glass door at Bristol county glass and I bought my vanity and mirror at Lowe’s. Once that was done I went looking around for labor. Plumbing labor was $1000 per bathroom, tile labor was around$3000 per bathroom, carpentry was around $1000 total. Plumbing fixtures cost about$1000. Lighting another $500 per bathroom including vent and vanity lighting. If you do your legwork you can get the price down substantially.

Yes I saw Frank Santos the R rated hypnotist there back in the early 1990s. He hypnotized a group of women out for their wedding shower and had the bride-to-be make out with a complete stranger. When she came to she threatened that her future husband would find him and “beat him up”. He put her under again quickly using a key word and she went back to making out with him again.

I just checked Zillow for properties for sale SW of Mount Pleasant. If it’s anything next to or within a short walk of Triggs Golf Course you should be ok. That’s Chalkstone Ave. But, avoid Manton Ave, that’s a bit rough. Chalkstone is at the top of Mount Pleasant (hill) and Manton Ave is at the bottom of that hill.
