I just use a silicone popcorn bowl now then add melted butter and whatever seasonings I wish. Way better and I can buy mushroom popcorn now too.

There's at least two diffrent versions of dedicated popcorn poppers already oil and air.

You lean weight on the backfoot the motor either shuts off or actively helps slow down.
I wanted one, then the company thought it was a good practice for bricking the unit if you unplugged the battery like say if you were flying with it.

So it's about federal law not something about Florida itself. Apart from it being illegal on a state level I assume and thus the federal conviction applies and thus felon = no gun rights anymore.
AFAIK this doesn't happen in California. But with it being a federal crime it's always possible.
