So you support fair non partisan redistricting that gives everyone a better chance to get representatives that share their values? Or are you one of those dipshits that goes "Hurr Durr look at all the big red splotches." Never mind some of those splotches have 10 people and an old cow living there but get outsized influence because of the way things currently are.

Let's put this another way. Say you lived in an apartment building and one guy for some reason rents 10 apartments. Lets say there are 5 other appartments and each one has 1 to 2 people in it. Now let's say your landlord is awesome and lets you guys vote on things like quiet hours, living space rules etc. Does he get more say because he physically takes up more space? Do the rest of you just give up? Well everyone else wanted quiet hours from 11 pm to 7 am but Dan decided he wants this place to be 24 hour quiet hours? We wanted a Christmas Tree in the lobby but Dan voted for a tower of dildos so Merry Fucking Christmas.

Oh and by the way I was very close to someone who went to church with one of the main republicans invovled in this. When he confronted him about the stopen election stuff and the conspiracies the rep said he knew it was b.s. but it was what people were calling him about so he had to pretend to believe it. And he didnt want to upset the voters.

Unions support whoever they feel is the best for them. The Seafarers International Union for instance backed George W Bush but then backed Obama over McCain because of McCain's stance on the Jones Act.

And I dont buy anything from a union directly so it kind of misses the point.

By the way this anti-union bend in the right is fucking bullshit and should upset people. Unions are the reason anyone gets paid overtime, unions fought hard to get workers a seat at the table and it is no coincidence that as union busting increased we've seen the wages for workers stagnate.

But if you dont care about that did you know that members of the Seafarers International Union have been helping America not only get the shit you buy on your shelves but fought to make American shipping one of the safest and cleanest shipping industries in the world? Part of what the Jones Act does is mandate that goods moving from American port to American port must be done by American flag vessels that follow our safety standards.

I honestly hate when businesses do shit like this. Dont make me as a customet decide if I want to indirectly support someone. Cause if I decide it is someone I would be uncomfortable donating directly to I am never going back to that business. Plus I think it is unfair to the employees. If it is public facing they have to deal with customers getting upset over the sign or deal with people who use a political party as a personality and want to pull them into conversations about politics they may not want to be involved in. And what if you happen to support the opposing candidate? If your boss finds out are they going to start treating you different?

Unless the boss is literally on the ballot keep that shit at home.

Okay story time so a decade or so ago I was going to be a teacher. During my student teaching portion I made a work sheet for the class for students who were a little behind the oldest student was 18. This work sheet listed the leaders of WWII with instructions to fill in what they know about each. When I showed it to my supervising teacher she said and I quote "This won't work. You are going to have to explain to these kids who Hitler is." It broke me. I ended up dropping out due to a health condition soon after. The whole thing was a fucking diaster start to finish and in hindsight with my untreated anxiety and inability to say no without massive lev3ls of guilt I never should have been incharge of a classroom.
