Not really. Whole forests are destroyed to raise cattle. Meat is unsustainable. We raise more food (corn esp) to feed the cattle than to feed us humans.

One of my greatest fears as a kid was having something horrible happen and no one believing me. I don’t know how you can cope. Would hiring a forensic expert to find traces of the creatures or proof your friends died in a non-human manner?

Stop letting him into that room!!! Seal off that room completely. Don’t let him sleep alone. Drag your mattress to the living room for him to sleep on while you sleep on the couch. Anything that was in or near the closet must stay in the sealed off room. Obviously, never let Chloe in again. Have you met her parents? Do they even exist? Contact your landlord. Who were the previous tenants? Did they leave suddenly? Get out asap. You can do most of this research from your car/work/ motel, etc.

There must be more nearby. There will soon be a time when the regulars go missing again. You might find out more. Keep talking to Eddie. The regulars may know more than you think. And they wouldn’t tell the police because no one would believe them. Don’t give up hope yet!!! Maybe you could go to an occult store and look up legends of the Bunny Savior or a description of the monsters. Let us know if any more symptoms appear or if you find out more information.

Ohhhhh Granny K, you are a wonderful storyteller. I hope your granddaughter carries it to new generations. Did you ever ask if others had seen or heard tell of the old man?

She wants you to realize she only”culls” the bad people. That is quite important. She hopes, as you mature, you might realize if she must exist this way, then she has a code to live by. Not wanton murder. She could also mean you might change your mind if you get sick. (I bet you won’t do it for that tho.)

Did each new owner have the place burn down? Maybe there’s a secret note seating him from his father or grandfather telling him what to do next. If you rebuild it….will the same rules apply??
