I was applying for a job in the country of Georgia and the person interviewing me went to the same church as my family growing up. I had Sunday school with his sister.

It’s a hundred mile difference dude. It’s not that big of a jump. Mackinaw City is about 560 miles from Pittsburgh and Portland Maine is about 660 miles.

Traverse City is still lower peninsula. Either way I still don’t get why you think Maine and NH are so far away that no one would ever drive to Pittsburgh from there. You can literally do the drive in one day.

I travel to Maine a few times a year and it’s not a bad drive. Sure some parts of Michigan are a shorter drive like Detroit, but if you’re coming from the upper peninsula of Michigan it actually might take longer than driving up to Maine.

Maine and NH are only about 12 hours away. It’s really not that far.

I’ll take a lower heating bill over having to mow a lawn any day.

It also depends on where the temperature was taken in Pittsburgh. For example Lawrenceville with all the buildings and little open space tends to be hotter than Allegheny Cemetery that is mostly green space.

I drove from Pittsburgh up to Maine on all non highway roads last autumn. There were so many Dollar Generals.

Don’t forget to tell someone where you are going, and what times you are heading out and planning on returning especially if you’re going alone. Your contact person can alert help if things don’t go as planned and they don’t hear from you. Letting your contact person know what your vessel looks like and your clothing will also be helpful.

Yea, tell them to schedule at a place like Rite Aid, CVS, or another pharmacy.

They might be in talks to develop a store nearby but the info isn’t public yet.

There is a podcast called Crooked City that focuses on the Mob in Youngstown this season. They occasionally mention mob guys from Pittsburgh. Not sure if these fellows are mentioned.

OP will want to read the fine print before booking any Airbnbs. Lots ask you to do some sort of cleaning now.

If it is Concord Trailways you’ll be taking, they are great. I used to live in and Maine and flew out of Logan airport a lot. They pick you up and drop you off at your terminal. Logan is basically as close to downtown that any airport could be. Pick any hotel in Boston that strikes your fancy and book it.

When I was up visiting family last year they were complaining about people wanting to build more housing in town. Then then asked when I think I’ll move back to Maine. These people just don’t get it.

I think I was sitting by you! There was a ton of drinking and people being obnoxious at the show. I turned around and full on stared at a woman who was basically drunk shouting during a song. I also didn’t have the balls to tell her to STFU. She left shortly after.

This happened when The National played a few weeks ago at Hienz Hall. Two different groups behind me kept talking loudly throughout the songs. It was incredibly frustrating.
