Absolutely. Just saying it wouldn’t be a surprise if the elite tried to dump the “lower class” out of Manhattan and into the outer boroughs, especially the Bronx.

Let me guess. They will demolish the projects to get all of the poor out of Manhattan and relocate them to the Bronx with new “affordable” housing.

You are responsible. Don’t travel on holidays! Dont you think these officers would rather be at home spending XMas eve with their families? Anyone who frequently travels around major holidays knows to budget more time and just deal with the consequences. Like that Seinfeld episode maybe those officers should go to your job and criticize you!

Why not convert some of the empty commercial buildings to residential? This would alleviate the housing shortage while bringing more people into the city. More people living in the communities will bring in more tax revenue and businesses to cater to those new residents. More people in the city that can use public transportation and also minimize the amount of cars and traffic in the city. Would allow for more public servants to live in the communities they serve.

Reply to Adams signs $275M deal with NYC hotels to house migrants by deathhand
$55,000 for 6 months? That’s more than most NYers make in a year. I’m all for assisting those in need but there doesn’t seem to be much oversight on how the money is being spent. Looks like they are just throwing money at the problem. What happens to these people after 6 months? They are still in “illegal” status with no work authorization so do they get put out into the streets after 6 months? If NYC can’t handle this now when it’s still the low season for migration, then wait until the Spring and early Sumner when even more migrants cross the border.
