I have two of the regular ember mugs for home, and I like them a lot - but I've never really "got" the travel mugs.

It's $200, and they advertise that it can keep your drink hot for up to 3 hours.

A $25 stainless steel Thermos brand travel mug says it will keep your drink hot for 7 hours, just by virtue of being well-insulated.

It looks like the ember travel mug doesn't even have a charger cable jack on it - the ONLY way to charge it is with the charging coaster (like the regular ember mug) - so you can't even keep it "plugged in" during your commute.

Now, will the ember mug be the EXACT right temperature for 3 hours, instead of a gradient from "burning hot" to "warm" like the thermos? Yeah I guess, but it just seems like a huge sacrifice for a tiny benefit.
