Happens to basically everyone on that show. They started with 2-3 groups of detectives, albeit with Benson and Stabler as the stars, and slowly turned into the Benson show. The other characters are there, but they get like 1-2 lines each with someone other than "Liv".

If you watch the most recent season, she's in basically every scene. She's at the arrest, she's discussing with the lawyers, she's in the interview, she's in court, she's in the last scenes. At some point, I'm waiting for them to have an episode where she's watching the actual assault through the window.

I don't know about helping the watch experience, but the marketing for The Spy Who Shagged Me was amazing.

It was opening just shortly after what is arguably the most anticipated movie of all time, The Phantom Menace.

So they ran ads all spring where actual camera shot was moving up a Death Star set towards the Emperor's chair, but it was Dr. Evil in the chair. The voice over said, "If you see one movie this summer... see Star Wars, but if you see two, see, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me!"

The movie made a fortune, for a comedy, especially "competing" with Star Wars, so it apparently worked.

I was thinking that I'd love to have a setting to watch the original trailer in between each episode.

I went on a binge of Star Trek: TNG trailers the other day, and it would have been amazing on my last binge to see "Next time, on Star Trek: The Next Generation", with that iconic announcer, after every episode.

I mean, I guess?

The original was almost 50 years ago, and while beloved, it had some mildly successful (though widely panned) sequels, as well as an awful series. (Full disclosure, the second is my favorite. The "Let them play" scene is an all-time heartwarming moment in movie history).

The Billy Bob Thornton remake got okay ratings, but barely broke even (which, in Hollywood, means it lost a fortune).

I just have so many questions...

Who is going to be the target audience for this one? Will men tune in for a drunken woman hitting and yelling at kids? Will women? Will they even go that route? Will they be able to draw in fans of the original, or do they even care? Will they be able to bring in new fans (Something Game Changers seems to have failed at)?

If the show ever gets made, as a huge fan of the original, I'll give it a couple episodes, but it just feels like every single road is leading towards this being a huge bust.

Yeah for something that specific you're basically looking for people who have uploaded entire VHS runs.

I'm sure they're on Youtube somewhere, but now that they have automated algorithms targeting those accounts, they'll be hard to find.

Good luck though, sounds like an interesting project.

That's what I was going to say. There are a ton of videos, 4-5+ hours in length, that are just recorded directly from someone's TV during that era (with the actual show removed).

There are also commercial compilations like you said.

Another option is the Nostalgia Critic has done 3-4 episodes going through some old classics of commercials that would have aired in the 80s and 90s.

Agreed, I'm having a hard time getting into it. Like, the super strong hockey-mom going to bat for her kids works great when you're talking pee-wee hockey. No problem with her character last season.

They're at a super expensive, invitation only, exclusive club designed to weed out the best of the best of the best in the entire country. Saying "Ooh it's too hard!" or "This isn't fair!" or "What, 5 AM?" isn't cute anymore, it's basically turning her into an obnoxious Karen.

We'll probably watch the rest of the season, simply out of sheer curiosity to see where it goes, and maybe it'll turn around, but I'm definitely not loving it right now.

My wife and I enjoyed the first season. It's not groundbreaking television, but it's a fun little show about Bob Knight coaching a high school girl's team.

We're only a couple episodes in, but it's safe to say that if you enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy the second. Similar end-goal (win the championship and get promoted!), but they're adding some new wrinkles with different relationships, people, and a prank gone wrong (well, right?).

IMO: They're doing a much better job than Game Changers is with its second season. That show is suffering hard without Coach Bombay, and as of whatever episode I'm on (2 or 3?), it's been largely mediocre to poor.
