Well I'll put it like this, if I walked in on my daughter watching it and I had never seen the show before I would immediately assume that it's a Teen Nick or a Disney show. The Editing and Production came across like a old Dan Schnieder show from 2010. Those shows are typically marketed towards teenagers and young girls.

Fez was always creepy, and that was part of his shtick. Leia's segment comes across cringe and awkward. Its the writing.

The show was not written for people like me to watch. That's just the end of it. It was written for much younger people and it feels like women. I didn't say it was a bad thing, I just said that's how it comes across.

>Sheโ€™s not rewarded for her behavior for the 4th of July as we see from Eric and Donnaโ€™s reaction, especially the former who had to be thoroughly convinced to let her stay.

How is she punished then? The punishment sure isn't staying with Kitty and Redd. That's what she wanted the entire time. So how is making her stay a punishment when that's exactly what she wanted? And Eric didn't want her to stay because he wanted to be with her. Not to mention she just struts in there, beer in hand and, talks shit... at 14. In That 70s Show kids could drink at 18 and everyone still had to hide their beer and stuff around Redd. In fact there are whole episodes dedicated to the kids stealing beet from Red or trying to get beer in under his nose because they weren't cool with it. In the 90snthe drinking age is 21 and they're suddenly cool with a 14 year old getting crushed? They didn't seem to care. They grounded her after the rave then hand her a car.

Also Red is so much softer on her. He hands the keys to the Cruiser over with a heartwarming speech right after sge gets caught sneaking out to a rave? He never did that shit for Eric. In fact Eric begged for Vista and Red sorta held it over his head as something to earn for multiple seasons. They softened him up like crazy.

>The whole plot about Leia trying to get a kiss was not out of some lustful nature but because she felt behind compared to her friends, especially in comparison to the guy she was interested in.

I get it. It's was just awkward and unfunny. It was honestly cringe and leaned hard into TeenNick territory.

Do me a favor and watch one episode or maybe 2 episodes of Victorious, and then watch this. It's the production. I never watched any Disney shows, but my wife said it also kind of reminded her of one of those. Let me know honestly if you do it. ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜

No no not at all! And I agree with what you said about that 80s show. The production for this came across too much like a Dan Schneider-esq show with some weed and sex jokes. Like for example if I walked in on my daughter watching this I would assume she watching a Disney or TeenNick show. That's what I don't like.
