Well, that’s what I thought, but there’s a billboard on I-44 here in town that says there’s a Sbarro at the One9 truck stop in Strafford. Their website shows it too, although it doesn’t list any details.

Um, dude, maybe it should be political against Pelosi considering she was the second most powerful politician in the US and might be the most prolific inside trader in American history.
There’s no reality where a bill like this can pass right now regardless of how it’s named. Even if Hawley’s motives are shitty, bringing more attention to this issue is nothing but a good thing and is the only way something can ever be done about it someday.

>Fuck Josh Hawley especially for the name of the bill - Pelosi is one of many
Why? Yes, Pelosi is one of many politician inside traders, but she was third in line to be president and the third most powerful politician in the country (arguably second since the VP is a figurehead) for like a zillion years. Her insider trading is much more egregious than some nobody Congressman from Idaho. She had much more control over what legislation gets pushed and voted on and how it affected the market. And if there’s a politician who’s made more from insider trading than Pelosi, I’m not aware of it. She absolutely deserves her name on the bill far and above anyone else.
The name on the bill is only to point a spotlight at this stuff anyway. It never did and never will have a chance in hell of passing.

Because Kelsey Grammer could read the phone book and make it funny.
I literally cannot wait for Reddit to eat crow when this show is good.

I’m all for more traffic enforcement. I’ve dealt with way too many dead drivers. But being as I don’t drive that stretch much, is that really some hotspot for fatality accidents?
I’d much rather see them dealing with all the tailgaters and general psychos on 65 and 60 during rush hour.

Ugh. I need a shower after that comment section.
And I guess I believe I Nett. He’s done other unquestionably good things and I seriously doubt the guy exploited a deceased little girl to make an extra whopping $39 bucks or get customers in his door.
But still really stupid of him to agree to do something like that, when the subject matter is so serious, and then flake out on it. Not really an “honest mistake.” He fucked up. If he didn’t have time to deal with it, he shouldn’t have publicly announced it.
Really not a fan of the parents getting shit on in the comments either. They’re clearly not doing this for the money. If a business owner advertised they were raising money for my deceased child and then never contacted me with it, I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about the money but I’d be seeing the red mist of rage over using my kid to get feet in the door. I don’t believe Nett did that intentionally, but you cannot expect grieving parents to be entirely rational about something like that.

Is it still like a push-button stoplight there? I had it in my head it was just a regular stoplight now. But I haven’t set foot there since it was SMSU.

After watching a pedestrian almost get hit for the 300th time at that flashing lighted crosswalk on Glenstone by the Kearney Walmart, I am so fucking over this bullshit.
Springfield either needs to go hard in the fucking paint and put those lighted crosswalks all over town so drivers actually encounter them more often and know they need to stop.
Or… they need to scrap the whole goddamn thing and put up a push-button red-yellow-green stoplight on the crosswalk, like the one they used to have on National at MSU a million years ago.
There’s already been at least one pedestrian killed at this crosswalk since they put it in. It’s amazing there haven’t been more.
I would genuinely rather wait for a gap and sprint my skinny ass across all five lanes of Glenstone than take my chances with that death trap of a crosswalk.

I’m not disagreeing. Dogs can do that shit even when raised in a great environment.
But it’s hard to know what pit bull apologists mean by “irresponsible” (and the goal posts probably move on that anyway). Some people, like the guy below, it apparently means abusing the shit out of your dog. Others it seems to mean shit like not having a tall fence for your giant pit bull. The only consistent thing is they will never admit certain breeds are prone to this shit.

No, those dogs attacked because the breed has a crazy prey drive and it saw a bunch of little two-legged snacks. Something Beagles and lots of other breeds typically don’t do.
It’s the breed.

So "irresponsible owner" to you means "actively torturing and trying to turn your dog into a violent killing machine."
Because that's not what most pit bull apologists mean by it.

Hurr durr it’s not the breed, it’s irresponsible owners durrrrrr
You know what happens if you’re an irresponsible owner of a Beagle? He steals the food off your kitchen table and doesn’t come when you call him. He doesn’t maul an entire playground of children.
People should have to have a license and insurance to own a pit bull.

For what it’s worth, I’m a middle aged adult who tested positive for RSV over a week ago and it made me pretty sick. Not like full blown flu sick, but enough to ruin deer season for me. Lungs hurt when I breathed, coughing my brains out, snot, low energy, etc. Five of us in my house ended up getting it. My preschooler brought it home to us.

That’s definitely another concern. I don’t know for a fact they are, but I suspect it. The father is also somewhat of the paranoid “the police are watching me” tweaker variety, so I kind of suspect any effort to become her actual guardian will flip his trigger that we’re trying to scam them or get benefits somehow.
