I am very curious to see where the IP I watch, TWD ends up with. I love that franchise and AMC has made decision after decision that seems to sabotage that IP's potential.

Better Call Saul was prestigious and had good viewership. However they now have access to Anne Rice content and the TWDU is still a decently sized franchise in terms of viewership. Not enough to support a subscription service though.

Oh completely. The only reason I buy is so I could watch TWDU content a week early to avoid commercials and spoilers. It's a crappy service.

I know we pay for these services for specific shows. As a TWD franchise fan AMC might as well just be called "TWD Universe" I have no real intent of seeing anything else on their platform. It probably shouldn't have been independent in the first place.
It's a rough time for cable channel networks.

No. That is literally the bedrock of their finances. If they dropped that IP they might as well just fire their entire workforce and declare bankruptcy.

I'm a TWD fan but yes. Once that programming isn't on for a week the subscription goes off until the next batch of programming is on.

If they abandoned the TWD IP they would've been gone a long time ago. It's the thing thats granted them independence for this long.

They have bottomed out. They haven't declined. They have transitioned. Into a cost saving continuation of the IP in order to maintain demand. That's why they ended the show and started spin offs. The show has around 5 million followers.
