The most common criticism is that ADL equates Palestinian sympathy or anything critical of Israel’s government as anti-semitism. On their own website they patronizingly explain how “free Palenstine” is offensive and anti-Semitic. Historically, they also are disingenuous about their “rising anti-semitism” updates. But in OP’s post they stick to actual incident quantity instead of results from surveys with leading questions, so that’s an improvement.

Other criticisms include participation in CIA and FBI psyops and intelligence gathering operations but I won’t get into that.

All this doesn’t change the fact that anti-semitism is on the rise, and it is scary.

ADL deserves criticism and skepticism. Other people hate the ADL because they’re antisemites. And of course some people like to conflate ADL criticism with anti-sematism which is dumb.

Less than 3 years ago the owner raised over 40k on gofundme to renovate and keep the theater open, about 5x what was asked for. Not saying there is funny business here, but I’d be disappointed if I donated a significant amount. I know a drive in theater can’t be a lucrative business and it’s sad she had to sell in the end after all those years.

These guys weren’t just lip singing live shows, none of their recorded music was their voices either.

I can’t name a single other instance of that.

Anyways, my dad was at the show lol.

They’re talking about preparing for a power outage, which Eversource is warning about. Thermostat doesn’t matter if your heat source is nonoperational.

The objectively correct answer is what many have already stated, drain the pipes, and turn down the thermostat to save money. 50 is plenty safe for most homes.

Ok so you acknowledge that Eversource erroneously put people on the hardship plan block without their consent, myself included. Agreeing with the only point of the person you’re arguing with.

And it was a huge pain in the ass. It took many hours and 3 calls to Eversource before anyone would tell me what was blocking me from switching suppliers.

And it isn’t as easy to remove as unchecking a box on your account. You have to print out a pdf, fill it out, and then with scan it back to them or mail it.

You can’t convince me this isn’t intentional obstruction and I have no idea why you feel the need to defend such bullshit.

Some context…Connor Mantz won the 2020 and 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships before turning pro. Then won the USA Half Marathon Championship. This past October he ran his debut marathon in Chicago in 2:08.

The top 5 runners broke the previous overall record this year! Top four finishers were within ~3 seconds of each other. Incredible field.

Mantz pocketed $9k for winning and breaking the record.

There aren’t enough young people living in Hartford to make late night restaurants, bars, music venues, and event spaces viable. And there isn’t enough nightlife to attract young people. And Hartford isn’t a walkable city. It comes down to awful planning and it seems like too much work to undo at this point. Like others noted, there isn’t enough housing either. Lots of projects need to be worked simultaneously and that’s just too costly.

Same dates and emails for me except I also had an “oops there’s a problem email” on the 22nd. I immediately called constellation and then Eversource and they both played dumb. I called back constellation and had them submit it again.

I hoping the “how was your customer experience” email is a confirmation that I’m all set? On hold with constellation now to confirm.

Edit: The “how was your customer experience” email is not a confirmation. In fact, my application hasn’t even been resubmitted yet.

A shitty modded sedan nearly t-boned my fiancée and I as we were approaching an intersection with a solidly green light in Winsted last night. Fucker blew a red without even slowing down. Thank goodness were were vigilant enough to see it coming and slam the brakes. The douchebag he was racing came to a screeching halt as well.

Fuck people that race on public roads. Give them all harsh sentences. Anyone who does that is a selfish, garbage human, and it’s a matter of time til they murder someone.

Grateful the cops did something about this racer in the article.

Okay, so you signed your contract in 2021 then. I assumed it was this year since your system isn’t live yet.

I’m also assuming you own the panels. I don’t know how lease structures work.

With the 2022 net-metering structure, you bank your excess generation as monetary credits like I described, and tap into those funds in the winter when you are under-producing. Additionally, you receive $0.0318 for every kW you generate. You can only cash out remaining monetary credits when you move, but you are paid out the per kW earnings on a quarterly basis.

I just talked to my installer. The impact of switching for solar customers is no different from that for non solar customers. You just sell excess generation at your new billing cost with Constellation, and you buy excess usage at the Constellation rate.

Makes more sense to lock in a long term rate if you have solar so that prices don’t go up in the winter when your generation is lowest.

That’s fascinating. I hadn’t considered the energy impacts from a changing agriculture industry.

Eversource already has a $200 yearly incentive to encourage charging your EV in off-peak hours. “Off-peak” really only excludes some daytime hours during the hottest days of the year at the moment, but like you said, I’m sure it will become increasingly restrictive.

I could not convince myself that a battery made any economic sense for me. It would never pay for itself. The seasonal rate differences are negligible compared to the upfront battery cost. Am I missing something?

Granted, I live in an area with a very stable grid. I’ll probably end up with an EV that can serve as a house backup at some point anyways. The F-150 can already do that I bet other manufacturers will adopt that in the next few years.

Edit: In states with shitty net metering, batteries are essential imo. But CT is still really close to 1:1 net metering.
