I just appreciate my taxes being used in ways that actually improve the quality of life in our community. I had a coworker have a baby a few weeks back and the fact that her and the father can bond with their kid while getting supplemental pay through the paid family leave act genuinely makes me smile.

Also, the areas that aren’t taxed are hell holes compared to what we have.

You changed the scenario from a petty misdemeanor to a violent felony. If someone is breaking and entering your home, an entire different set of laws apply. Protect your property by not leaving valuables in your car and locking your doors. Also, when someone joyrides in your car, you’re not going to be held liable for any damages unless you were abhorrently negligent

I really hope you’re not willing to kill someone over a baby monitor. And if you are, I hope you take some time to reflect on what’s valuable to you and your life

That’s not the same. That’s a BARRK felony and you can most certainly shoot at them with minimal repercussions. A baby monitor in a car and your baby are not on the same playing field for shooting

Maybe I’m the crazy one but I think there’s definitely a firm middle ground between murdering someone over the spare change in my center console and my EZ pass and playing the victim.
