That’s such a good spot for nature and photography enthusiasts. You are within a 2-3 hour drive of countless national parks and recreation areas and the land is so wide open even the driving feels like driving through a painting

Yet certain tourists feel the need to shit on the ground 4ft from the trail. Blew my mind the first time I encountered that and it happens all the time

Excellent photo. Anyone who hasn’t been to this part of the country - no photo does it justice. It’s breathtaking and awe inspiring to stand over that edge and look down. There’s also half a dozen or so insanely beautiful national parks within a couple hours drive from the Grand Canyon

Reply to TIL about Deaf lifeguard Leroy Colombo, who overcame childhood paralysis through swimming and saved a record-breaking 900+ lives during his career. His swimming talent and use of sight rather than sound to identify drowning swimmers allowed him to save people other lifeguards would have missed. by lemontreelemur
Big props to whoever made a likely difficult decision to hire a deaf lifeguard.

Enjoying it so far but it’s pushing the limits of suspension of disbelief
