The comparison to Thomas doesn't work at all. In tennis, a moderately better player wins 90%+ of the time. In golf, a better player outplaces a similarly worse player like 60% of the time. There is so much more randomness in golf

Beyond the simple fact that he's Tiger, he's playing with limited leg mobility and nothing like the musculature of a modern golf pro. His technique is so good that he can still outdrive some big hitters anyway.

I think they were saying the retiring/unretiring carousel was cringe. If Brady comes back again it will start to be embarrassing the way it was with Favre

To take Djokovic as an example, he has 22 slams and 17 losses to other big 3 players at slams. So I'm guessing maybe 35 slam wins for him if the others didn't exist, and he's nowhere near finished either. Could've been 40.
Murray has 20 losses to the big 3 at slams, almost all of which were in the semis or final, and 3 titles. He also destroyed his body trying to compete with the big 3 and would likely have had a longer career as a top player without them. He would've had a real shot at Sampras' record and being the GOAT if they all didn't exist.

Would be on average a little above Croatia (without the massive climb on the right that Croatia had after becoming independent). Nearly always top 20, often top 10, rarely top 5 until recently

Reply to Tom Brady apologizes for his 'very poor choice of words' when comparing playing football to a military deployment by Sanlear
This is insane, but the US has a 100ft boner for its military despite the fucking awful things it repeatedly does, and thinks American Football is just a fun game despite the massive long term physical and mental damage it does to the players, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I am a proud Brady hater, but I'll defend him here: NFL players suffer heavily during the course of a season, so this analogy is fine, and anyone whining about how he's 'disrespecting the troops' should consider that disrespecting the troops is something you should do when said troops are off slaughtering the population of another country again.

It's a German name. In Germany, it's pronounced absolutely nothing like Coke. Some Americans, including the famous and despicable oil barons, do pronounce it somewhat like that, although this is by no means uniform - as with most non-English names that have been Americanised, pronunciation varies drastically from family to family.
