If you aren’t immunocompromised it sounds like a diet issue. Get a multivitamin.

Real estate. If it’s to the point where you can’t preserve wealth via land ownership then it’s to the point your money is worthless anyway.

Some of the Chinese school clubs got broken up at Columbia years back because the Chinese gov’t had effectively taken control of them and were using them to try to exert control on Chinese students.
It would not be surprising at all if it had to do with someone with a tangential government relationship, but I’d imagine if it’s true they went rogue in this case since it seems totally insane to draw more attention to the issue.

When I was there you only got in trouble if you were really egregiously breaking the law or if someone had to pump some numbers for whatever reason that month.
Generally the average cop just didn’t want to navigate the political minefield involved in arresting someone from a developed country.

Tell me you don’t understand Chinese history from the rest of Asia’s perspective without telling me you don’t understand Chinese history from the rest of Asia’s perspective.
None of the Asian countries around China view Chinese history in that manner. They view it as a colonizer that got beaten at its own game.
