Love this. I grew up not far from Prospect and it’s probably my favorite place.

During the ice storm in 1998 I was doing home health and a patient had one similar. We just heated her bath water on top and she was good to go. We had one when I was growing up too ( old farmhouse north of Bangor.) Those stoves will likely outlive us all, and are just gorgeous to look at. Thanks for the nostalgia and hope you’re up and running soon.

Layering is key. That way too when it gets too warm you can take some off and in the cold layers trap heat. I had a Columbia jacket that had a liner you could take out on milder days.

No worries! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from… A Maine ex pat? Relocated Mainer? Please don’t say flatlander, lol. 😆

We used to go to Dysart’s now and again. It’s been years ( not sure if they’re still a thing) but if so and you’re in the Bangor area it was very good as I recall.

I was diagnosed ~ 13 years ago. It’s been a theory for some time.

Yeah, it’s sad. My grandfather was a ME dairy farmer and wore Bean’s exclusively. I feel like old Leon is rolling in his grave. That being said you can get stuff super cheap at the Goodwill warehouse if you don‘t mind digging. I got backpacks and polar fleece for next to nothing there.
