If we had been having this conversation 3 months ago I probably would have disagreed with you, but I did twist my ankle running that trail on my birthday. This was during peak leaves on the ground time though, so I guess OP if you do run the trail just exercise some caution on where your feet go. Otherwise the capital trail is much safer terrain wise but also not nearly as fun imo.

That thrift store is an enigma. I went there about 6 months ago and was really impressed. Everything was 3-5 dollars and they had a great selection. I've been back to carytown probably a dozen times since, at various times and days of the week, and they're always closed. They're not on Google maps, and I don't think they have a website or Facebook page.

I'm not sure what 9 & 3/4 magic I need to get back in that place but someone let me in on the secret.

Despite all their controversy recently, this is a place gas stoves have a leg up. Growing up my parents had a gas stove and I remember more than a couple occasions where we were still cooking despite the power being out.

I saw a group of ~20 people running/jogging in Oregon Hill around midnight last night and was wondering if anyone knew what the deal was. Part of me wanted to catch up and ask them, but the other part of me just wanted to get home.

I feel the complete opposite way. As someone who spends relatively little time watching TV/movies and listens to music as background noise more than anything, I don't put much weight on them. There are so many more important aspects to any sort of relationship for me. Besides, outside of some sort of SO/partner, you're not usually forced to listen/watch someone else's taste in music or cinema.
