The claim to fame is the insane level of nuance to all of the characters that they really let develop over the seasons through ebbs and flows beyond just "every season higher stakes and more action packed than the last."

And the once in a generation performances.

I'd like to see a return to something meaningfully recognizable as satire. I just don't think the show is actually smart or focused enough to say things about topics as big as sexuality and human nature. The whole "sexy murder mystery" thing is the sort of stuff that lights Twitter on fire and generates buzz but ultimately nothing about S2 is especially memorable.

EDIT: Ah shit you said "who." Let's go for more Sopranos alum, Edie Falco.

It's a self reinforcing cycle. Stupid step sibling themed stuff dominates the market, so that's where the top tier performers end up working, so more people end up watching step sibling stuff because while they aren't interested in the theme/kink it's the thing the porn sites are putting in front of them at the most marketable moment.

Jaw dropping twist? It was like, the second most common theory being bandied about. Also, it's not much of a "twist" if there aren't serious emotional stakes to it. We have one gay man who's sex life is really of no concern to any of the main characters, and a man having sex with him whose only interest is being a character's sexy fling.
