What was ur favorite episode of D45? I have two. One is Carrie fisher,, Ed Asner, Blair underwood and Ed bagley Jr. Mosly bc Carrie fisher cracks me up
The other is with Jay Mohr, Timothy Olyphant, David Milch, and Michael Rappaport.

Pretty sure if either of them looked me in the eye I would too.

Damn. U are so right, but he also had a knack for getting along with "old Hollywood" on that show. A persona that would probably not play today. Especially compared to the softball "Hollywood Reporter" roundtable everyone fawns over now. In retrospect you a 100% correct, D4F was a genius move. Still its amazing he was able to get those big names on that tiny indy show like he did 20 years ago. He's got/had the perfect personality for it.

Ehhhhh. In the early aught he was still only known for Swingers, a made for TV Rocky Marciano flick and a guest spot of Friends. Once Elf happened he blew up.
But to your point, the theory is the entire movie he did called "Chef" was an allegory for him working for marvel studios.

I'd pee my pants if Rod Stieger had ever looked me in the eye when he was alive.
