Lucky you...I know a couple people who ignored jury summons & shortly afterward had a sheriff knocking at their door...they were told if they ignored any others that came their way, that they'd go to jail

Very simply...I record the title/author by year read, although sometimes I forget to put a book on the list...And I only keep a list to see how many I read a year & so I don't get one that I've already read.

We're up river so the water has NOT been contaminated by the train derailment...and the air's cleaner than 50 years ago and not polluted by the train derailment...You're safe, as long as you don't pass in the tunnels or wear a Cleveland Browns jersey...

Do you think because you're a woman that you should prefer only female protagonists & female authors? I'm female & have no preference between male or female authors/protagonists, neither do my friends...We like good books with good characters & plots. I don't think you have any reason to be concerned - enjoy whatever books you read & don't be concerned about who the author is or which characters you enjoy more...Just read

I agree...Society changes over time & we can't turn the clocks back to undo those outdated societal norms - we can only move forward, hopefully with lessons learned.
