Reply to Maine residents - what do you find positive and negative about your state's low population density? by LockedOutOfElfland
Formerly lived in a very big city and traveled a lot for work. I miss live music, dancing, and anonymity. I love being in the quiet, seeing planets and stars, animals. I love hiking every other day, year round. I love being intentional about my trips into town to go to the store. Don’t forget anything!
The way life should be.

Yeah they started sending me suggestive photos. I don’t think their first language is English, that or they are bad at feigning interest. Kinda smelled like a scammer pretty quickly, so I kept it vague.

There is a strippy about an hour East of Sunday River— I don’t know what part of Maine y’all are in but that’s not considered terribly far around here.

This is on the quietside along with the hikes below.
For hiking:
Don’t skip out on the quiet side. Go to Beech Mountain, short strenuous hike up to the fire tower or east walk over to the cliffs. Stop by beech hill farm while you’re at it.
Other easy hikes that are good for dogs are Ship Harbor and Wonderland.
Have a blast.
