Reply to U.S. GDP rose 2.9% in the fourth quarter, more than expected even as recession fears loom by Intrepid-Astronaut41
This is positive news and can we stop talking about recession. A recession is multiple quarters negative growth. Not almost 3% growth in the GDP. Time to start looking at other reasons for costs going up, and it isn't wage growth.

Reply to comment by Hairbear1965 in TIL Creedence Clearwater Revival was only active for four years (1968-1972), with seven studio albums. They still hold the record for most singles (nine) to reach the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 without ever scoring a #1. by Torley_
I was going to say this. They were active for longer than four years, polishing, learning, joining the military and then getting back together. It was just the album years that everyone knows. The doc is pretty good.

I don't know if the sub is right. Some similarities. Both were terrible presidents that had issues with keeping it in their pants. Kennedy barely won and most likely wouldn't have won a second term, Clinton over saw the largest political change in the last fifty years, the real red wave.
I'm not so jaded that I see Clinton so young and think he was already deeply corrupt and horrible and saw an older horrible version of something to aspire to. At the same time it is likely his name is in Epstein's black book, as one more reason this man is so bad.

Reply to College Football Playoff makes official 12-team expansion beginning in 2024-25 season by 0Ring-0
Well, it fixes so many questions of maybe teams, SEC teams that are maybe great. This should be fun. The days of one loss and the season is over is done for many teams, and that is great. If this existed this season, think about the interesting matchups we would see?

The school bus is the perfect place for it. We need our kids to stop thinking that debt, like that which the government runs up, is their obligation. It isn't.

Reply to Irene Cara, '80s pop star behind 'Fame' and 'Flashdance' theme songs, dies at 63 | CNN by Clem_Doore
She lived a hard life. But she also hard a great voice. She was a talented woman. Dying this young, I wouldn't be surprised if her personal demons had a role. A shame and a loss no matter what, she died too young.

Well then, objectively, we could still say Michigan sucks. Objectively, with empirical data sets used here.
