I'm really interested in this! Do you like it?
We're in the market for a new dryer and were considering a Speed Queen. But these seem super energy efficient, so they're a strong contender. I'm in the US and wondering how hard it will be to find someone who knows how to service a heat pump dryer, though.

Oh wow, we had a brown one! I drank so many glasses of Kool-Aid and Tang from it. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you! Do you have any issues with getting the bag off/on the frame?

Ooh, those sound incredibly durable and pretty similar to the Steele Canvas laundry bag. I tried to make something similar years (and yearssss) ago out of lightweight duck canvas, but I think I was using the wrong needle on my sewing machine and it was a total disaster.

Oh wow, that's awesome. Longevity is such a huge selling point for me nowadays. Thank you so much!

Yep! And I should have noted in my post that they have a Second Act shop for lightly worn items. I've gotten a couple of things there and the quality is great.

What's your budget? You could look at MM LaFleur. I have a ton of items from them... they're investment pieces, wear like iron, and are all timeless styles.

I use a wool sleeve from Byrd and Belle. You can also find them on Etsy.

Good point! I dropped mine on a hike once and the rock it fell on dented the bottom. But luckily there wasn't any impact to the functionality—it still keeps drinks cold/hot for a ridiculously long time!

I don't think they're titanium, but I always recommend Klean Kanteen. I have a stainless steel 16oz insulated bottle and it's fantastic. Close to 7 years old and going strong.

You could skip the Brita-style filters altogether and get yourself a nice carafe that you like, then use a stick of charcoal to filter. We're going to switch over when our Brita carafe finally bites the dust. Here's a link to a blog post where I got the idea: https://readingmytealeaves.com/2019/01/simple-stuff-water-filters-binchotan-charcoal-water-filter.html

It's lasted several years so far, and the blades are replaceable.

It's the best! Also check out their Worn Wear page for past season styles at awesome discounts. My fleece and a couple of recycled wool sweaters came from there and they look brand new.

I vote for the Patagonia jacket. I own 4 Patagonias—a rain jacket, a fleece, a lightweight puffer, and an amazingly lightweight winter coat (DAS Parka)—and love them all. What I love best, outside of the company's values, is that you can send your coat to them for repair. I had a zipper break on my puffer and sent it in. They sent it back in a month with a new, perfectly matched zipper. If I remember correctly, it cost me $5 to ship it to them. Glorious.

I came here to recommend this! I'm considering a Steele laundry caddy with a removable duffle bag and a guy said they use Steele wheeled laundry bins at the prison where he works and they are ridiculously durable.
