There is a jackass looking to develop a crude refinery in Bloomington, south of Victoria. They will pollute San Antonio Bay with any spills or normal emissions which is right beside Aransas Pass Wildlife Refuge, one of the last “clean” bay areas in Texas.

One of the striking story lines is the overconfidence of the elder brother and the disdain he expresses for the opinion of his younger brother. That tension was important to the development of the story and the visual of them and the elder brothers family all floating on the roof of their house was amazing. I also noted the lack of respect for the Cuban weather system which was more cognizant of the danger of that particular storm.

I had been buying Hornitos tequila for $25 but recently found a plain bottle of Sauza tequila that sells for $15. I just pour the cheap tequila into the fancy bottle. Problem solved. Everyone thinks I’m drinking the “good” stuff!

A few years ago when I went through my midlife crises I went on several “therapy drives” . I would drive far and as fast in a couple of days then slowly make my way home stopping at Mound building sites, native prairies , bison preserves, and obscure local museums and points of interest. There are so few native prairies they should be designated holy sites.
