Reply to [3-15-2023] Thanks to all who sent in snow reports. Here's the map based on the reports + estimates from NOHRSC (nohrsc.noaa.gov) by [deleted]
I’ve never been closer to such a drastic difference in snowfall. I’m downtown and it snowed a lot but only 6 inches accumulated. 5 minutes down the steeet they got 20+ inches lol

I don’t butt into other peoples lives. They choose to live in a bio hazard that’s on them. I don’t smell anything thankfully because I’m 99% sure their dog isn’t allowed in the bedroom which is the wall we share. But I’m 100% sure they don’t take him out because I was working from home for a while and hear clearly when they unlock and open their front door. It never opened. Either they use a cat liter for the dog, or it just shits and pisses on the floor .

Ya im not getting involved. They are crazy. They fight 24/7 and the woman always calls the cops and then when they get there she says she doesn’t remember what happened. He pushed her and she cracked her head open and was screaming she had a hole in her head and he was going to jail. Perfect opportunity for her to lock him up and when they get there she says she doesn’t know how she fell and he didn’t do anything.
Ya the walls are thin as hell. I finally had it. They never stop. Never . She finally moved out. I don’t know where she is but I moved my tv and speaker against there wall because the guy sleeps in the bedroom when she’s gone and is the loudest grossest snorer of all time. It sounds like he’s dying. The tv and speaker pissed him off so much. Whenever he starts snoring I blast it and he starts swearing and goes and sleeps somewhere else.
I will win the battle!

I said some areas. The places with run down houses and abandoned buildings. I personally like old buildings with character but I’ve been in some areas where there just hasn’t been any maintenance done in the buildings in years. I love Worcester too. Beautiful place

Or you could be like my asshole neighbor. He never takes the dog out. Pisses and shits in his apartment. When he takes out the trash you can smell all the poop. It’s a big apartment building. He’s so lazy it’s unbelievable. We share a wall and him and his wife just fight in bed all day. It’s unreal

Ya, anything west of Worcester and some areas of Worcester are very fun down. It’s sad because it’s where all the immigrants have to live.

There are a lot of drugs in southbridge. The main thing I noticed is how run down it is. Some areas are totally a slum. The houses all are falling apart, the stores look like they haven’t changed since the 50s. Just no maintenance ever done.

Noise machines? Move your bed? Don’t know the layout but my wall mates right now are insane. Cops come All the time and she won’t rat on him for abusing her. Whenever she is there they do not stop fighting. They go in violent loops alll day and night and then she leaves and he takes over the bedroom and has the most obnoxious snore I’ve ever heard. I finally put my TV and speakers against their wall and have it pretty loud all the time. Great volume for me too.
He can’t sleep in his room anymore because I wake him up. I just moved everything that makes sound right against his wall. He must snore 12-16 hours a day now that Karen’s gone. But he ain’t taking over the bedroom anymore and I’m guessing he’s made the living room his bedroom. I have won for now

Read again… talking about the future. The first pot clubs are about to open in the state. Places will be able to do it this year… not my scene at all. The last thing I want to do when getting high is to look at topless women who are getting stared at like objects. I’ve never had any desire to go to any topless place. Weird

Bahahah! I grew up 20 minutes away and never have seen anything like it. Population about 1/10th of Worcester and the roads were always immaculate. Worcester doesn’t even bother to plow the streets downtown. Usually towns and cities will at least plow main streets. Not to mention Worcester has some of the steepest streets I’ve seen outside of San Francisco. Not a good combination!
The city must be broke right? I have no idea about the economics but if you can’t afford road treatment for storms you are in trouble

You will get used to it. I’ve been driving around here for 18 year and don’t take unnecessary risks. If I can work from home or call out of work, I will. Not worth risking your life.
I’ve driven through plenty of big snow storms in. Honda Civic and these are mostly fine. What is super dangerous is ice. It can happen so fast too, which is why if there is ice in the forecast I’ll avoid driving at all costs .
Just learn your limits in snowstorms and take my advice about ice. Practice driving in hilly areas in snowstorms if you are really uncomfortable. You can rip some donuts for the hell of it. That’s how he learned how to drive in storms growing up

No me and my ex weren’t really of the saving philosophy but would rather enjoy the days we know we are going to be living, young, and healthy. So we traveled a lot. I’ve been to just about every state and 8 countries. We smoked and drank a lot along with a lot of other party favors, and we liked an expensive dinner every now and then.
Living like that off of two 60k a year salaries in Boston and you really aren’t ever going to save money. You could live like a hermit, eat ramen and maybe save 1k , I’ve lived like this since and it was not that hard for me, but definitely would be hard for my ex. Never ever move into a house that is heated with oil too. So fucking expensive
