I can understand the need to avoid over prescribing but now people are left with trauma from not having adequate relief at all. It's all about money, always has been; first it was $$ for over prescribing and now it's $$ for not doing anything at all. Soon it will swing back to $$ for prescribing- once there is a new wonder drug for pain relief.

And still the only people screwed over are those who need short or long term pain management. It's a disaster and why I hope to avoid serious injury. You will not get adequate assistance in this environment.

I guess if you consider brutally stabbing an innocent random person "a stupid mistake" that makes sense. A stupid mistake is using a slur as a before being knowledgeable or lying on a test, or maybe even stealing someone's phone.

I thought so but it wasn't a discussion, it was interviews. I did find this article that is very similar:

What a blessing for your family! I'm still trying to find the episode because it's something people don't often contemplate- how tedious that work must be.

I'm so disappointed that I can't remember the name but there is a very interesting podcast episode that walks through the process of someone dying without next of kin or a will. It can be such a lengthy process. I've joked about having a secret rich relative but it's interesting to learn that it actually does happen.

One of the I need out of this job moments as a school secretary was a mom picking up her child (8-9 yo) after an altercation and her loudly proclaiming how she hopped he beat the other kid's ass. Real class acts.
