It's worth mentioning that they have a bakery on Beacon Street near Coolidge Corner. And on Saturdays they sell fresh baked donuts.

Anyone have any idea of what the same experience would cost at Fenway? I can't imagine it coming in under $500, and probably a lot more!

I agree that the Sox are probably the best bet, but they're all fine. Just be ready to spend tons of money. The prices are insane.
I mean, really insane.
If you ever want to take your son to something more reasonably priced, you might try the (it's hard to say this) Woo Sox in Worcester. I imagine that prices are higher than they were when they were the Paw Sox at McCoy stadium in Pawtucket, but they will still be far less than at Fenway stadium.

How high do food prices have to go before we have rioting in the streets?

Market Basket is the best overall on price, and their house brand stuff is generally excellent.
On the other hand I go to different markets for different things. There's a great little store nearby where I get meat; it's the best. I go to Trader Joe's for certain items including vitamins, Stop & Shop for a few others (mostly because they're close), and Dave's Marketplace (a RI chain) for still other items.

George's Coney Island in Worcester makes their own baked beans, I believe.

$1,625 not including utilities, water, or sewer for a 2-bedroom townhouse. But I'm an hour away from Boston.

Great bookstore with used books in the basement and frequent readings by authors, a great arthouse theater, restaurants, all sorts of fun shops, a farmers market, the Green Line is right there, wonderful bakeries, a game cafe...it's the best!
