Billy Joel’s “Moving Out (Anthony’s Song)” fits the bill, too.

I’m sure I’ll come up with more, but Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way” seems to fit.

There’s a fun chain here.
- Neil Young writes “Southern Man”.
- Skynyrd writes “Sweet Home Alabama” in partial retaliation (though Van Zant said he harbored no resentment).
- Warren Zevon writes “Play It All Night Long” about how only rednecks listen to Skynyrd (chorus starts “Sweet home Alabama, play that dead band’s song”)
- Kid Rock samples Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” for that song that fetishizes “Sweet Home Alabama”, a move that’s too spot on to be unintentional, even for someone like Rock.
Which means that, ultimately, Neil Young is responsible for Kid Rock’s comeback as a “country” artist.

I was gonna say, “‘Veracruz’ is the sore thumb?” “Switching yard” is one of very few skips in his whole catalog for me.

I saw her earlier this month and “Call Me Maybe” is like the dead center of the set list now. Her following is dedicated, though, so everyone around us knew all the songs.

Definitely is, but also not representative of her discography. CRJ is killer.
