Did you watch the clip? The quote is from the Bhagavad Gita.
He was hired during the war to build a bomb. You know...because they were at war. You make it seem like he was some sort of warmonger instead of a scientist/physicist who was paid to develop scientific technology for the United States.
Not only that but you've also seemingly adopted the laughable assumption that without the Manhattan Project no one would have ever invented the atomic bomb.
I found his words and introspective demeanor to be humble and sincere. Not cringe. He even learned Sanskrit to read the Gita in its original script.
