Am thinking this, too. Might be Loki, or one of the other deities. But killing dad was pretty ruthless. Inside the family home, no less. For sure it was not an angel because it could get into unholy ground and stuff, right?

This also gets me thinking, could the Evening Redness be like a Titan or something?
