although not about “feeling”, thats the best theory; as well - again because of tech advancement - oil paint could be bought in in tubes and cheaply, and was also portable; that and the import of japanese pictures changed how the early moderns thought of pictures and representation too.
you see this these changes in painting again with the advent of radio, film, tv and most recently with the adaptation of handheld flatscreen computers
to paraphrase marshall mcluhan: any new medium creates stress on old mediums to change

interesting althoug thats 20 years after manet’s olympia
the haze may be related to the eruption, but its not why the impressionists painted as they did

Idk you’re being downvoted smh
Idk who needs to hear it but a free market economy (as defined by adam smith and classical liberal economists like Thomas Paine, Henry George et al) is one free of monopolies, subsidies to corps, and special privileges; a free market thus requires regulation to allow market exchanges and citizens to be free.
Capitalism has lots of regulation to create monopolies and specia privileges that mostly benefit capitalists: they are free to fuck over everything and everyone including the environment etc while placing the importance wholly on capital, while disregarding labour and the land.

When you attain a higher plain of consciousness, you will understand that some humans, even though they look like adults to you, are indeed irresponsible children in the body, as if in the costume, of an adult. They aren’t. Sadly, globally, we have lots of them
If you wanna punch down at them, go ahead. It’s a lose-lose tho

You have curiosity, literacy, internet and intelligence. They are also privileges. And the fact you’re not white and not American, is also another privilege. Chances are you’re better educated than most people in America. Privilege isn’t just financial, class or a preferred skin color. And you recognize your own consciousness; that’s a great privilege. You’re very privileged. Millions have no idea. Have pity on them for not have any
don’t punch down.
Many obese people are sugar addicts and have no idea that they might be addicts; sugar is super normalized here unlike in other parts of the world.
And addiction? if you don’t know… is a disease.

It’s not a choice if you don’t know it’s a choice
I’m not saying it’s a disease but don’t be fooled that people always have “a choice”. You had the choice, celebrate that and share your knowledge and recognize your privilege and bring ppl with you
but don’t punch down

If you can recognize that it’s overstating, move on and don’t let it bother you. Don’t fuss. Depression is a symptom of little thoughts you make and accept as your own. They really aren’t

It probably feels demoralizing af?
I’ve been there. I beat my depression and I do more than just exercise. I learned CBT. I take sauna. Take cold shower. Reach out to friends when I feel lonely. I learned to meditate, which helped me in two major ways: 1 it helped me understand that i am not my thoughts and I can create my own thoughts and not identify with random thoughts and 2 out it helped me understand my inner world and I’m not bothered by external stimuli, almost at all
You have to find a multi-pronged approach and learn to appreciate your struggle: I’ve been given a bag nails to carry forever? Cool. I’m not depressed. Someone says something rude? Cool. That is their thought and it doesn’t affect me. There’s a Reddit post that irks me? Cool post. We move to a better a thought and continue to vibe high
You can do it!
