Pennsylvania is a mandatory access state, which means a landlord cannot prohibit a tenant from choosing their internet provider where available.

They can, however, drag their feet because they have to sign off on paperwork with Verizon to get the systems installed in their building. That building is private property, so Verizon’s not just going to walk in and start running thousands of dollars worth of fiber without getting permission from the stakeholders of the building.

My father in-law’s house looked just like this. You’ll have to fix the gutters, redirect the downspouts away from the house, and build up the soil around the outside foundation if you can. Put a dehumidifier down there and you should be 100% Well, more like 98%, or whatever percent is acceptable in a Pittsburgh basement built in 1955.

At no point was this man attempting to commit a mass shooting, he simply wanted to exercise his right to protect himself like any law-abiding and responsible gun owner.

Also, like any responsible gun owner, he apparently has no idea where at least three of his guns are at any given time. He didn’t know he had two guns in his bag. He didn’t know he was carrying another pistol in his pants’ pocket. You know, like any reasonable, safe, legal gun owner trying to enter a federal building.

By the way, both of my above statements are speculation on my part. The article doesn’t mention anything about his reasons for trying twice to bring firearms into a federal building where it is prohibited.

Try to find a couple of indoor ranges where you can rent a gun. Range USA just opened in Robinson (I haven’t been yet), but I know there are a few more out there. Most of the time the people there will guide you if you tell them it’s your first time. They’ll tell you the best firearm to start with, show you how it works, and give you the basics on safe handling.

In addition, start googling PA gun laws. Even if you don’t plan on purchasing one right away, it’s good to familiarize yourself with what the laws in Pennsylvania are when compared to other states.

Listen, I live in Greensburg, and I haven’t been to the city since 2004, but let me tell you definitively and without hesitation exactly what Pittsburgh really needs. It’s more driving lanes and more parking lots that’re cheap. Not all these bike lanes and dreams of pointless light rail! Duh! Too many cars? Just build more lanes!

Quantum Spirits distillery in Carnegie makes gin, vodka, and two really good whiskeys. They also have a limited edition brandy right now. Totally worth the trip.

I came here to say Costco. If you are fortunate enough to afford the membership, or if you have a friend with a membership, you can find full, heavy duty, name brand outdoor gear for like $120. I got -40 winter boots for like $35 one year. You can get a pack of winter wool socks for $7. I got a waterproof winter weather system coat for like $45 a few years back. Underwear, lined pants, balaclavas and gloves are all there.
