deer and other amphibians are generally found soaked in some kind of moist or muddy environment for the majority of the year

well the leftovers can get unskilled labor/semi-skilled labor jobs and still make a livable wage though right? ...right?

this is it, OP.
if you've never had a legal snag over it, just renew it and move on with your life.

it's why we're better drivers than the states around us. we learn to drive on an obstacle course, we bob and weave with precision.
i know it's beyond cliche at this point, but i always love a good pothole meme. what i don't like are the pothole memes that have been obviously photoshopped to say "PA," implying that this was not an original PA meme to begin with.
lord knows i'm not creative or willing, but somebody has to start making some PA originals

Reply to Pennsylvania Cyber Charter Owners and Operators Get Rich While Students Receive Poor Education by Open_Veins_8
i can't see how anyone is shocked or surprised. IMO, the cyber charter system is the educational equivalent to WalMart or McDonalds. crank out those graduates cheap and easy. the quality of the product isn't a concern, it's the numbers you can show on the other side of the process.

There's one that lives in the woods near my house. It took one of my chickens last year. I still see it cruising over my property looking for more about once a week. It's crazy how common they're getting, when I was a kid it was a pretty big deal to see one, and I still feel that way, even though I've got one that has become a minor nuisance.

Reply to Winter driving in PA all seasons vs Snow tires. What do you have and why? by RemoteStatement
west central PA here.
snow tires on my little beater because it's a piece of shit and needs all the help it can get (05 Ford Focus).
i use all seasons on my SUV (03 Ford Escape) because it's 4WD and has the weight/traction to get by with just the all seasons.

dude the MAC machine, i do it too. there's a place on Rt. 18 in West Middlesex that has an old MAC machine kiosk sitting out back, clearly visible from the road. it's great to see, still holding a lot of the colors.

honestly i do too. i worked at PACL up until Feb '21, so during COVID. people used to get so frustrated with us because up until that point a lot of people considered us "the unemployment office." for quite a while all we could do was give out the 1-800 or whatever number to Harrisburg, which resulted in disgusting wait times.

last i heard, PACL had disconnected those lines. they didn't want multiple people using the same phone all day during COVID

We admitted we were powerless over alcohol — that our lives had become unmanageable.
Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

if i were seeking help, this would drive me away from a support group pretty quickly. to me, this reads as embracing fear and powerlessness, sacrificing oneself for the god that is the disease. how many other people have felt the same way?
*to be fair, there are some good parts to it. but the god angle is too much.
