I legit fell into one because I thought it was a teeny tiny pine tree, not the top of a normal one in deep snow.
I often wonder how I am alive.

I am adding it in.
Makes more sense to try and save them.
Maybe the word we need to work out might be exculpatory.

Considering we're only ever about 6 square meals from revolution I'd say it was entirely sensible.

Right? I can't express it quite. Highlighting individual elements misses the overall impact.

Agreed. Competition is the only thing that will actually drive it. Decades of genuine altruism have delivered orderly nothing.

I appreciate you looking into it. I can't stand raisins myself, so the risk seemed low. But I thought it was worth mentioning.

Do not fill up on raisins, at least according to my grandfather. A kid he knew did it after a bakery got bombed, and the kid died.

I largely agree with what you have said, but disagree there is no definition of what constitutes a reason to go to war. There are shelves and shelves of books and papers on Just War going back to the first written records. This isn't really the place to summarise them and I haven't the time. But I thought it was worth flagging for any students reading this.
