It’s not too rural, but I highly recommend the riverside/Burlington/Delano area. I was just there, it’s beautiful
BYNX0 t1_iydkrzm wrote
I’d recommend Bloomfield or Metuchen. Both are beautiful areas with nice downtowns. You might also want to check out Kearny or Harrison if you want to be even closer to the city

In general, you’re right, but this appears to be a northern brown snake, which is native here

Don’t trespass on others properties to take down political signs. None of your business. Put up your own signs, you would be pissed if a MAGAT came and took down your sign

Stopping at 8 may be reasonable, but it’s still too early for a forced end time

7pm curfew? That’s ridiculous. If they said 9, I’d be in support of that 100%

Not too bad at all. Route 17 can get rough, but general going in the southern direction in the morning (Toward Newark). Going north on that highway in the morning shouldn’t be very painful

I was there a few times. There’s a nice shopping street there “Main St”. Plenty of amazing restaurants there, probably a lot of bars, although I can’t confirm that. Parking on that street is also manageable, especially since most businesses have a back parking lot for their customers. As a funny side note, there’s a ridiculous amount of barbershops in Hackensack, you’ll never need to worry about your hair ever again. GPS Right now says 22 minutes from there to mahwah, but expect 30-35 minutes during rush hour

If by “rough”, you mean dangerous, definitely not. Downtown JC is gorgeous, extremely safe. Hoboken the same thing. Greenville JC can be a bit shady, but still not that bad compared to some other communities in Nj

Ridewood, Paramus, Hackensack, and potentially the Spring Valley/Nanuet Area of New York. Keep in mind your commute may be dramatically longer during rush hour

I guess it depends on which part of both. Both are very large, over 20 sq miles each

All St Louis residents comment how scared they get when they miss their exit and accidentally go over the bridge in to ESTL. Police recommend you go through all of the red lights and stop signs at night. It truly is a hell hole.

No tip. In the old days, they even gave you a quick windshield wipe and tire check, then a tip was necessary. Now, it’s just gas, which is what they get paid to do
