Aside from the fact that other streamers do it?
How about the fact that I can sub for a month, binge that show (and others if I want) and then cancel....for less than the cost of a digital copy of the show season. So they can get more of my money by offering it this way?
Like this ain't hard.

>Why HBO is starting to license out content again.
You know what really blows my mind with the Netflix model?
Not putting out their older content digitally for purchase.
Like want to watch 'House of the Dragon' but don't have HBO or want to subscribe to it? Cool, wait till it's done airing and a few weeks later you'll be able to buy it on iTunes or Prime. Easy Peasy.
Want to watch the first 4 seasons of Stranger Things while you wait for the next season to drop? Can't buy it anywhere legally.
It's mental how close to their chests they hold their IP when they could easily be making money off after-airing sales on so many older titles.
I'd buy a Sense8 box set in a heartbeat....but I can't.

"And shepherds we shall be. For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. And Teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris. Et Filii. Et Spiritus Sancti."
That whole movie is a glorious mess and I love it.

>Of all the crappy video game but now its a movie movies I dragged my poor mother to in the 90s Street Fighter was the best.
There is a 1993 Hong Kong film called City Hunter with Jackie Chan in the lead role and a whole sequence in it is Street Fighter II characters becuase Chan gets electrocuted and thinks he sees all these people in real life and the fight ends with him as Chun-Li.
It's....certifiably insane.
Enjoy!

Fun fact, he and Dennis Quaid JUST did an interview where Jake completely forgot that they played father and son in this movie because they are never on screen together and therefore never saw each other on set.

Hudson Hawk is an absolute masterpiece of weird comedy.
It exists in the same realm for me as "If Looks Could Kill", and "Oscar".
Completely insane premises that ONLY work because the cast brought their A game to the roles.

Hard agree. I love this movie. It's terrible, but oh so entertaining.

Wait, why do people not like 5? It's not like everything after 1 was some pinnacle of film...they were all hokey, OTT 80's comedies, and why NOT set one in Miami Beach?!

I think The Rise of Skywalker is really good, and even the bits that seem to be bad... I understand why they are present in the film or needed to be, messy as it may be.
And it also feels like the most Star Wars-y film of the sequels by a very long stretch.
Out of the three, it's the one I've re-watched most.
I know I'm in the minority on this one.

I have a feeling that Scorsese will now set out to MAKE this movie for real. I don't know why, but it's intensely meta.

It's one of the Hallmark ones starring Vanessa Hudgens. It's called The Knight Before Christmas (2019).
It's terrible, and trite, and silly, and way too wholesome...but we've watched it now three years in a row...I have no idea why we enjoy it. I admit my own crush on Hudgens might be one of my main reasons, coupled with a knight time travelling quotient...

I maintain it's an asinine business model.
