I mean,if someone has time to be worried enough to post about wanting someone ticketed for noise IN A CITY, then they must not have too many real worries.

what you describe is NOT how most richmond "street corner" drug dealing is set up. what you describe is how its done in baltimore(the wire was somewhat accurate portrayal of Baltimore's drug trade), Philadelphia & other larger cities, but most Richmond street dealing is not set up like that. no idea where it is that you are observing what you think you are seeing, but you are probably misunderstanding what you are watching.

of course you can separate art from artist, but why would you want to? if my favorite artist says some foul shit that I have a moral/ethical issue with, why would I want to separate their art. and how does that separation work? don't you hear the person's voice & the sound of the voice makes you think of the person & if you think of a person who makes you sick, it's gonna remind you how much they make you sick. so yeah, you can say you separate it, but realistically how much do you actually separate. now if you were just a follower who was boycotting an artist because everyone else was, I guess it's easy to separate it, but if a person actually offends you on a moral level, separation isn't so easy

Reply to A non-update on the murder at the 7-11 at W Broad/Meadow by opienandm
we have murders regularly all over the city. certain areas have multiple murders happen over the course of months or even weeks. those areas don't get constant updates after every murder, so why is this one supposed to get more shared info & statements than other areas/neighborhoods get?
I am one of the people tht criticizes our police constantly & will gladly point out lots of reasons I believe there needs to be major changes, but the inability to give daily updates about one specific murder isn't something I'm gonna jump behind when there are much bigger communication issues tht RPD has problems with.
