Absolutely! I don’t know if it’s common where you live, but I recommend looking around your area for an actual butcher shop. I am good friends with mine, so it’s easy for me to get everything from jowl to tomahawks to wings for a great deal, and with much higher quality! Often times people have one nearby and don’t realize it!

If cooked right, i prefer it over any bacon. And it’s so much cheaper.

My wife makes homemade sourdough, and we basically made homemade McGriddles with her leftovers by making sourdough pancakes with syrup dropped in them while cooking. Of course that’s not Keto 😂. I will try the recipe with paprika though! Haven’t thought about that.

I live in Alabama, they are often called “meat markets”. And I thought they were more expensive too, but at least the one I use normally is very fair. And even the ground beef they say is 80/20 is more lean than the 80/20 from grocery stores. So it goes a lot further. Good luck to ya
