But yet that stat can be deceiving considering it is based on reported crime and not actual crimes. If the people don't trust the police department or that the police department will investigate it and prosecute it then people don't report the crimes. In a place where people have trust in the police department and the courts you have a higher percentage of crimes reported. So, even though it is a stat that can be compared you also have to read between the lines to see if it is accurate or if it is people under reporting crimes.

There is a couple of things that come to mind as possible sources.

  1. It could be the sewer treatment plant smell is just traveling further due to the colder weather. (During winter or cold weather sounds and smells seem to travel further)

  2. In the fall time we often get a stink in the air due to farmers using certain animal poo on their fields (pigs, cows, chickens).

Yes but the problem is that is government helping people ans they want to keep those people needing them so they over extend them. The worst thing you can hear a person say is , 'I'm with the government and I'm here to help!'

I don't even live in that neighborhood so it is not emotional for me and my neighbors. I do feel that we don't need to tear down every old building in the name of progress. Take a look at thr apartments they built where the YWCA used to be downtown, they were built so quickly and so poorly that they have had nothing but problems since being built. Just what the students that occupy that building want because nothing says home like backed up sewage, electrical issues, and other problems.

They want a single family home to be put up, not commercial property, apartments, or a combination of the two. The biggest problem with that specific property being turned commercial is that is the 2nd busiest intersection in the city and to add more traffic by making it a commercial property is just insane! The developer also wanted to knock down the other three 1930s mansions along National and get University Avenue closed right there to build whatever monstrosity he wants to build.

The problem is that the land deeds for University Heights have a clause written into them that the property cannot be zoned for commercial or multiple family residences. The original wording for those deeds is nearly 100 years old and the developer is trying to change it without the people's input through the ballot box.

That 30% isn't just rent but should include the rent, utilities, and trash. Basically depending on utility usage your rent should be between 20-25% of your income with the other expenses taking up the rest.

If you own your house CU does have a program where they can check for leaks around your windows and doors. I'm not sure if you have to qualify income wise or if it is available to everyone. They will also do it for renters but need landlord approval. They also have a program to insulate homes for lower income people.

As far as things you can do on your own, make sure your windows have a good seal of caulk around them, use fans (pointed at the ceiling) or ceiling fans (in reverse or winter mode) to bring the warm air away from the ceiling and towards the floor, and get a programmable thermostat that can automatically adjust for different times of the day. When awake have it set a little warmer and when away or asleep have it set cooler.

I am not sure why some women think that way but yet they are the only non-dating whore out there?!?! gif They need to pull their head out and realize that there are many other good people out there.

Even as a woman I have never understood other women, they are very jealous and damaged is all I can think of to explain it.

I have nearly given up on dating! It sucks as a woman to deal with all the games that many men play. I know there are good men out there but when you deal with all the garbage that some men put out there (i.e. unwanted dick pics, guys claiming to want the same thing you want but then tell you differently after you begin talking, married men posing as a single man, men wanting a woman to raise their kids as in take over all the parenting of his kids, and the lies that are on the dating apps from lots of people!)

They are Healthcare providers and so it makes sense that they want their staff to be healthy by not smoking. Anyone who works in Healthcare knows how bad it is for the body. Don't want to work there then that is your choice but they are not trash because of the nicotine policy.
