We'd be so accustomed to it that you wouldn't notice it if it wasn't evolutionary important, like when you're really sick cause you ate something bad, but that might be a good thing overall. But just like you never smell your snot or taste your spit, so too would be true of your poop.

This seems like the same scenario when a kid is saying "I am never gonna get married" and proceeds to live 20 more years and have become a new person with new needs and wants.

Not saying you're a kid but your current beliefs and needs might very well change, being overly certain about what you want in the future is arrogant. Yes you might be 100% sure today, but there are untold scenarios which will change your current view.
