Reply to Frontier vs. Comcast by RandyPhylum
Switched to Frontier Fiber from Comcast.
Frontier has better pricing/upload speeds/no equipment fees (still recommend using your own router).
Comcast had a better app and much quicker response time for tech calls (repairs/etr). I had intermittent outages during COVID on a weekly basis with Xfinity and a pending price increase for the internet alone. Outages were either resolved within an hour or same day.
Made the switch to frontier and so far only had one outage that took an entire week. Apparently there was a fire damaging my area. The app is useless. I'm saving hundreds a year with overall a better experience.
If you or anyone is interested in a referral ($100) DM me.

Are you referring to the statement below? If so, that's accurate. Those states don't allow fixed contracts, customers can leave service providers without an early termination. I've referred friends and family in CT without any issues.
> Your friend or family member must successfully enroll in a fixed-rate contract with a term of at least 12 months for a residence located within the areas we serve, except for Connecticut, Illinois, and New York, in order to qualify as a referral under the Refer a Friend program.
