Doing respite care is badly needed to. (Short term stuff, like just taking the kid for the weekend)

That's why we don't choose to live in a place as beautiful as south Florida. I love visiting... normally in December when the weather is like a hot summer day from what I am used to. But you couldn't pay me enough to live there.

Popcorn is a bleve of the outer layer of the kernel. This is the same if you heat up a pressurized container of any kind until it fails.
There is no oxidation reduction reaction going on though, so no explosion.

I would even suggest reading the wikipedia article as a good place to start. It gives you an overview of the topic, lets you formulate questions you might have and want to research into (note them down), and then start with their sources but don't feel constrained by them.

Reply to ELI5: if you’re lactose intolerant, why does the lactose cause bowel distress instead of passing through inertly? by chemstu69
You aren't the only thing that eats it. You are full of bacteria which CAN break down, but not in the same way your lactase does... it doesn't care that it spits out a bunch of byproduct gas. That gas causes inflammation in your gut and all the symptoms you are mentioning.

I could be wrong, but I think in general that space heaters are the most expensive way to heat. More than gas in most situations.
Obviously it depends on if you are heating the same amount of space, the relative efficiency of your specific situation, etc. etc... but as a general rule, space heaters are the most costly form of heating.

It depends who is on the hook for the cost. If the heat just runs up the electric and that is the renters responsibility, then the Landlord doesn't really have an incentive to care. If they replace it then the renter sees the savings, not them.
If the landlord is responsible for the costs... yeah, I bet they are all over it.

If they can afford the upfront costs. The poorest of the population and renters will still be living without these.

That is exactly right. There is differences on how the permitting and such is done to access things on this side of the Texas/NM boarder, but they are pulling from the same "pool" if you will.

In all seriousness this has caused a surplus with the state funds but things get all jacked up with how they can get spent or not. It is our local political fun apparently.

This is really it. It is more of a correction in work force sizes once the crazy growth and cheap loans of the pandemic stopped. Most of them are still well above their pre-pandemic staffing levels even if they are now laying off.

Throw in there getting your chimney cleaned if you EVER are going burn a fire in there. As it starts getting cold every year I run more and more chimney fires. Another spike right around Christmas from those who don't need it for heat but wanted the atmosphere.

Correct. Intermediate or advanced, depending on the state, can do IVs and give broader range of drugs than a basic. Paramedic can give even more drugs and do more procedures.
