I remember that. PlayStation became synonymous with gaming console the same the word xerox became synonyms with photocopier.
There’s heaps of examples, another one is yo-yo , the corporations HATE it because when brands become integrated into modern day vernacular it fucks with their copyrights and patents.

So much about Egypt is “maybe” though.

From the article:
>The excavation revealed a huge religious center with three sanctuaries, a sacred lake, more than 1,500 objects, busts, statues, golden pieces, a huge collection of coins portraying Alexander the Great, Queen Cleopatra and the Ptolemies…

This is funny when you consider there’s literally a McDonald’s around the corner.

It has many routes of administration, from tincture drops to ointments that you can apply locally.

Its also great for pain relief in micro doses, I’ve heard (through anecdotal reports) that opiates will make you ok with the pain whereas this datura derivative will eradicate the pain.

It’s also used in some ayahuasca brews to prevent nausea and vomiting. It’s also an amazing pain reliever in micro doses.
On the inverse side, if you dose too high there’s a strong probability that you’ll be admitted to the psychiatric hospital. What freaks me out is that the entity’s people encounter are unlike other psychedelics (because datura is a deliriant) in that they are very specific. For example with DMT/shrooms people encounter machine elves which is a pretty blanket term and the entities manifest in different ways depending on the person but with datura it’s so specific and always a woman with black eyes and a pet wolf.

Yeah but you have a pretty level headed and positive way to view the situation and not everyone has developed that trait.

Do you think she drinks as a way to escape the shame of her narcissistic ways that like 99% of them just sweep under the rug?
Im convinced there are so many I diagnosed narcissists that don’t even know they have it. It seems as common as introverts/extroverts. Like at what point is something a disorder and at what point is it just a fundamental nature of human being?

>I think the idea holds true for the same reason that it’s true that you get better through failing at things and learning how to do them right.
Yes and no. I mean it’s impossible to go through life without pain and heartbreak and intentionally avoiding it is probably going to be worse cause you’ll miss out on so many wonderful opportunities but what about the trauma that develops through caring about someone that see’s gestures of love as weakness they can exploit?

Yeah Marilynn Monroe saying “Diamonds are a girls best friend”
Their feedback from focus groups found that men didn’t know how much to spend on an engagement ring and rather than set a price they had characters in a movie say that the cost should be around “a months pay”
Then the de’beers family hoarded TONS of them to keep the price artificially high.
What baffles me is that the difference between CZ and genuine diamond in terms of appearance to the naked eye are minuscule yet the price disparity is like over 10,000 times the price.
Humans have a long history of collecting shiny rocks for ceremonial/cultural use, there’s evidence of humans during Neanderthal periods burying there loved ones with stones that they could only have collected by walking thousands of miles to obtain and I think that’s one of the reasons why it’s so easy to make people fork out large sums of money for what’s essentially nonsense, because it’s deeply embedded in our DNA.
