I gotta assume the reason they're bringing back street sweeping is to account for this.
It's a shitty, roundabout way to get there, but in the end there's no good reason this work should be farmed out to a private company.

- Have the state pay its share of school funding. PA has reduced its contribution, and it's had the predictable effect of starving poor school districts by sheltering wealth and opportunity in wealthy counties.
Everything else is less important. But we also need federal action to fund teachers themselves like the critical public resource they are.

>I couldn’t find a well-known city retailer or restaurant that opened a branch in, say, Jenkintown, Montgomeryville, Doylestown or Media. But I’ll bet there’s one out there.
Do you think picking a place and seeking businesses is a little backward? This article clearly picked its lane and then found examples fitting that narrative.
Mignucci's comments are evidence you've tapped into something real to an extent here so don't take this as me discounting your work entirely. Just the conclusion presented and definitely the headline.

I'm seeing La Colombe is in airports everywhere now, how could Krasner do this to us.
Mignucci of Di Bruno's point about the city going to bat for small businesses stands but this headline? It's neither "flocking" nor is it to the main line.

This is exactly what regulations and licensing are supposed to be for because the average person isn't an electrician, doctor, lawyer, home inspector and truly has little idea how to vet one beyond the opinions of other people just as unqualified.

This was my worry / my mindset, but all the stories from parents in our catchment have convinced us to stay. At least for K, 1st, 2nd.
All the reviews have been very positive, and I assume it's got a lot to do with the teachers, who've been there a long time. And the parents, who all actually give a shit.

At that rate they'll only have to keep giving you their pocket change for another 70 years to cover the bill when it comes time to replace your entire water system.

No, we have some weak per-well taxes and the amount of money that PA has handed over to energy companies compared to other states is easily in the billions because of it.

PA needs a severance tax on gas and some actual environmental regulation of fracking.
