Without saying too much to maintain some anonymity, I know some people with very very close history with this guy. He's every bit of a bad person as this all makes him look.

Walters was fantastic when it opened but post-pandemic it really went downward. It's fairly pricey and the quality no longer justifies it.

And maybe the best in Pittsburgh. A wonderful date restaurant. Amazing authentic food, exceptional service, and a great bar service too. And low key one of the best espressos in the city.
I spent a month in Rome last year. Had lots of amazing meals there, but few if none that were truly better than Dish.

I know they cover a few countries in Central America, too, but having spent 6+ months in Mexico the last few years, there's no other place in town that's remotely close for authentic Mexican food (except the tacos across the street at Las Palmas).

La Cocina de Betty over in Beechview. It's a hole in the wall and little English is spoken, but the food is legit.

I'm not surprised by that honestly. You can tell by the service that it's a tight ship. The staff, especially when ordering, are very helpful and patient, no matter how busy they are. In my mind, truly one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh, and very probably the best value.

Yum! Just left from spending a month in Italy. Da Michele lived up to the hype, but I think I liked 50 Kalo even more. Especially their nduja.
